The State of Vancouver's Green Economy

Report Design & Illustration

I was the lead designer on this magazine-style research publication that profiled Vancouver's green economy. To bring the content to life, I created several highly-detailed illustrations of key sustainability projects from around the city, plus several infographics that visually represented the data included in the report. In collaboration with the author (who was VEC's top green economy expert at the time), this project really pushed my layout and illustration skills.

Much of the work I do in supporting local organizations occurs on the unceeded lands of many nations including the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səĺilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) people which are now also home to First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. As work commonly happens both remotely and in-person, land acknowledgements allow us to engage in ongoing reconciliation by reflecting on individual connection with and responsibility to the land.
